Job Summary:
The Solar Systems Technician is primarily responsible for monitoring, reporting, inspection and technical follow-up of solar systems installed at FMFB-A Head Office and branches. The incumbent will monitor system performance, conduct branch visits, support new installations, coordinate maintenance and provide basic solar-system training to branch staff. In urgent cases, the position may also provide backup support to night-shift technicians.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor all FMFB-A solar systems daily through available monitoring platforms and follow up on alarms, faults, downtime and abnormal performance.
- Prepare daily monitoring updates and consolidated monthly reports covering generation, system status, major issues and corrective actions.
- Conduct scheduled and need-based branch visits to inspect solar panels, inverters, batteries, electrical connections, monitoring equipment and overall system performance.
- Support troubleshooting and coordinate maintenance, repairs, warranty claims and technical follow-up with solar vendors/contractors.
- Attend new solar-system installations, verify installation quality and approved specifications, and participate in testing, commissioning and handover.
- Provide basic training and guidance to relevant branch staff on system operation, safe routine checks, fault reporting and energy-saving practices.
- Maintain updated records of solar equipment, warranties, maintenance activities, technical issues, branch visits and system performance.
- Immediately report critical electrical, safety or system failures and follow up until the issue is resolved.
- Provide backup technical support to night-shift technicians in urgent cases when required.
- Ensure Bank policies, safety requirements and procedures are followed, and perform other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Any other task assigned by line manager, relevant or irrelevant.
Job Specification:
- Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electronics, Electromechanical Engineering or a relevant technical field.
- Relevant practical experience in solar PV/hybrid systems, electrical systems, monitoring, installation, maintenance or troubleshooting is preferred.
- Knowledge of solar panels, inverters, batteries, electrical protection and remote monitoring systems.
- Good reporting, record-keeping and computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Good communication skills in local languages; working knowledge of English is an advantage.
- Ability and willingness to travel to FMFB-A branches and respond to urgent technical requirements when needed.
